PHP Programmer for Ponderwell, LLC
Job Description

This is an entry level position primarily coding for small and medium WordPress sites. We require good basic PHP skills and some MySQL and CSS, plus some experience with WordPress. Javascript/JQuery is an advantage. A high degree of personal initiative is essential. You will be working primarily with one other person who handles client communication and QA – we expect the two of you to be able to solve problems and deliver sites without a great deal of oversight.
Ponderwell specializes in complex e-commerce sites and carries out in-house development of its own projects. We hope that the successful applicant will in time advance into other aspects of our business, including SEO, MVC framework PHP, Linux systems administration, and iPhone and Android app development.
Additional Information

This position is subject to review after 6 months. Applicant must be able to work in Asheville NC, but some telecommuting is possible after the first three months. Salary in the range $30k+ based on experience and ability.
