Michael Tracey is the Chief Technical Officer at Ponderwell, and isn’t happy if he’s not hanging out on the cutting edge of new technology. He started out playing on a Commodore 64 as a kid, and just kept going. As an adult, he cut his programmer teeth beginning on the help desk at MAIN in Asheville, and then moved into ever more impressively difficult arenas, including the online department at the Asheville Citizen Times and then System Admin at Sonopress. He started his own business as Stoutmonkey Networks, and then merged with Martin Haywood to create Ponderwell.
Other than tech, Michael loves to take photos, and keeps his personal portfolio at Visioncache.com. He recently founded Imageasheville.com, a successful community documentation initiative. When not busily coding away or snapping pics, he enjoys playing games with his daughter.
