That’s a perfectly reasonable question, but like all worthwhile questions there is no one-size-fits-all answer. What it’s going to cost is relative to exactly what you want us to do. If you want us to design you a logo, that’s different from building a highly interactive online store with a custom coded e-commerce solution…which is completely different from having us over to program a system wherein your pet bunny can generate modern poetry by hopping about on a repurposed Dance Dance Revolution mat (because, honestly, we’d just about do that for free). So let’s look at some examples, and that should give you some idea of the size of the ballpark you are considering.

The Brochure Site
You have information you want to disseminate, but you don’t need an online store or complicated interactive features on your website. Perhaps you own a restaurant, and you just need a web presence to convince potential diners that you are destined to become their new favourite spot. Or perhaps you run a non-profit which champions the efforts of literary bunny rabbits everywhere. In any event, you really just need a few pages with a nice design to showcase text and pictures, perhaps a contact form. What’s that going to cost? Depending on your design requirements, probably in the range of $700-$1500.
The Bells and Whistles Site
OK, you say, but what if I want something a bit…more? Perhaps you need an online store, or changing content based on user interactions? What if you really want a game on your site that visitors can play, wherein they can generate poetry by moving a bunny image around a little dance mat? What’s that going to cost? There’s a lot of variables, here, but depending on how complicated your store system needs to be, or how many interesting interactive features you envision, you’re probably looking at anything from $1500-$3000+.
Branding, Logos, Design
Yep, we are happy to design logos, or even whole branding campaigns. That’s one of our favourite things (right after raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens). You need a logo which incorporates a fluffy, white rabbit, some old-school typography, but manages to be clean, modern, and classy? Oh, and edgy, you say? We’re right on it. Want a whole website theme to go with that? You bet. How about some fries? We make some of the best danged fries you have ever tasted. So what’s that going to cost? Depending on whether you need design for just the web or for web and print, and depending on whether we’re talking just a logo or a whole brand, probably somewhere in the $500-$1500 range.
Sys Admin
OK, but what if you don’t need a site…what you really need is for someone to come in and fix your database errors, or debug your network, or write some code that’s going to convert everyone on the network’s email to LOLCode? Believe it or not, we can do that, too. Because we’re that amazing. There’s very little to do with computers that we can’t do. Ask away. What’ll that cost? This one has such a range that we can’t even estimate in general terms…but our standard rate for system administration is $150/hour. We’ll do our best to estimate how much time will be involved when you put your problem in front of us.
